A Collection of American Treasures

Classical American Homes Preservation Trust (CAHPT) collections include important examples of early American decorative arts.

Through a lifetime of acquisitions, Richard H. Jenrette and his partner, William L. Thompson, assembled the nation’s largest and most important collection of documented work by the renowned cabinetmaker, Duncan Phyfe of New York City.

To Jenrette, these objects were more than just a collection to be admired. He also wanted these objects to serve a larger educational purpose. CAHPT and this online catalog are a testament to that interest, so we invite you to explore.
