University of South Carolina Manning Papers Digitization Students

Noting that universities often provide excellent hands-on training through their own institutions, especially research projects and the work of campus-based libraries and museums, Classical American Homes Preservation Trust also helps support students’ work on university-based projects that align closely with its own mission.

Camille Roberson is a native of Wahoo, Nebraska and a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina, having completed her Bachelor of Arts in art history with honors in May 2023. She is currently working to digitize the Williams-Chesnut-Manning family papers in the Digital Collections Library at USC. Her research interests include early American portraiture and the folk art of the American Southeast. In her free time, Camille loves traveling, learning about history, and creating art. She hopes to further her education by studying historic preservation.
