Hudson River School Masters The tour group will visit homes in Hudson and Catskill, exploring the region’s rich artistic history and the birthplace of the first distinctly American art movement, the Hudson River School. Visit Olana, home to Frederic Edwin Church and the home and studio of his mentor Thomas Cole. We’ll have exclusive access to some of the most unique homes in the area.

Locust Grove (Poughkeepsie, NY): Executive Director, Ken Snodgrass, will lead an in-depth tour of this home designed for Samuel Morse by famed architect, A.J. Davis.
FDR National Historic Site (Hyde Park, NY): Tour Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Presidential Library and home (Springwood).
Staatsburgh State Historic Site (Hyde Park, NY): Staff will provide a private, in-depth tour of this country home of Ogden Mills and Ruth Livingston Mills.
Edgewater (Barrytown, NY): Edgewater is Classical American Homes Preservation Trust’s gem on the Hudson. Edgewater was the home of Robert Donaldson, Gore Vidal, and Richard Hampton Jenrette.
Thomas Cole National Historic Site (Catskill, NY): Tour the home and studio of famed artist, Thomas Cole.
Oliver Bronson House (Hudson, NY): Enjoy rare access to this Federalist-Style home, redesigned by architect, A.J. Davis.
Olana State Historic Site (Hudson, NY): This stunning showpiece was the home of artist Frederick Church. You will join a member of Olana’s Board, its Executive Director, and a descendent of Sally Church for this unforgettable tour.
Wilderstein Historic Site (Rhinebeck, NY): Wilderstein is widely considered the most important example of Victorian Architecture in the Hudson River Valley, and is the home of Margaret Suckley, cousin and confidant of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Montgomery Place (Barrytown, NY): Learn about a restoration project at this Livingston Family home now owned and operated by Bard College.
