OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Millford is open for public tours once a month on the first Saturday from February to December in 2017. With the exception of April, when Millford will be open every Saturday in that month.
Admission is $15 per person (16 and under are free). Cash and checks are accepted.
On the monthly Saturdays, the gates to the grounds open at 9:30 am and close at 3:00 pm. The house opens at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 2:00 p.m, with docent-led tours. On Sunday, Dec. 4, the grounds are open 12 noon – 4 PM; and the house is open 12 noon – 3 PM.
Important: Reservations are required for Saturday tours. Please call (803) 452-6194 to reserve a tour and for updates on road closures and detours.

From Charleston, SC:
Due to long detours, we recommend these directions when driving from Charleston (updated 5/18/16).
Take I-26 West to I-95 North (about 50 miles). Proceed to Exit 119 – Manning and Paxville. Take a left on Hwy-261 North to Paxville, then continue onto Pinewood. Cross over some railroad tracks at a caution light. Continue for 1 mile, the turn left onto Millford Plantation Road. Follow signs to Millford. Proceed straight through the Millford gates. Bear left along the white fence, then bear right and follow the road past the stable to where you will be directed to parking and the Mansion.
From Columbia, SC:
Take Highway 378/76 East towards Sumter, approximately 26 miles to the intersection with S.C. Highway 261. Fork to the right on Highway 261, go approximately 14 miles (straight through Wedgefield) to a cluster of signs on right side of road: Rimini, Mill Creek, OHV Trail Head, Millford Plantation. Fork right at signs onto Camp Mac Boykin Road (also known as County Rd. 51) for approximately one mile to an intersection with the “Millford Historical Marker” on the right, and on the left the “Richard Richardson Historical Marker” and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Turn right on the sand road. Continue down the sand road for another mile, passing a white frame house on the right and continuing to a stop sign. Proceed straight through the Millford gates. Bear left along the white fence, then bear right and follow the road past the stable to where you will be directed to parking and the Mansion.
From I-95, Florence, SC and all points North:
Take I-95 South to Ext. 119 (Hwy 261) Manning-Paxville. Take a right off the ramp to Paxville, and continue through Paxville to Pinewood. Continuing on Hwy 261, cross the railroad track and caution light, and proceed about 1 mile. Turn left on Millford Plantation Road. At the next crossroad, turn right on Camp Mac Boykin Road and continue 1 mile to the next crossroad (look for “Richard Richardson Historical Marker” and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on the right), then turn left on to the sand road. Go straight ahead for another mile and you will see a white frame house on the right. Continue straight until you see the Millford gates. Bear left along the white fence, then bear right and follow the road past the stable to where you will be directed to parking and the Mansion.
